Tipsy Panda
is closing.

To our customers and friends:

We are closing Tipsy Panda. Not because the work stopped being good, and not because you stopped showing up. We are closing because certain leaders of this state decided that what we make should no longer be sold in Texas.

That decision ends a business our family built here in College Station, and it ends a great many others like ours across the state. We were small operators who followed every rule that existed, tested every batch, checked every ID, and paid every tax. We disagree with the decision, and we think it was made without much curiosity about who it would land on. But it was made, and we have to answer to it.

What we would rather talk about is you.

Hundreds of you bought from us. You reordered. You told a friend. You sent notes about sleeping through the night for the first time in years, about a glass of wine you did not miss, about a Tuesday that got a little softer. None of that was owed to us, and we never once took it for granted. Thank you.

And thank you to the shops that gave a small local brand real shelf space before we had anything to prove it with. Independent retail is a handshake business, and every one of you honored the handshake.

We are not bitter about the years we got. We are just sorry they are ending this way, and by someone else’s hand.
